Kite surfing: Estuary Wind Direction: ENE Wind Stength: 20+ Surf / Sea State: small chop Air Temperature: 14 Sea Temperature: not too bad Weather: overcast/sunny Max Speed: 20+ (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered:
After a frustrating day yesterday waiting for wind that never really
appeared, today started a little slowly - after a late night at the
Boardwise party in Dyfi boat club (AJ it wasn't me that kept rocking your
van in the early hours!!) - but turned out to be most excellent!
Wind had veered to East with a bit of North and started picking up, and
picking up...
Pumped up the 13m, but after Daz came in saying he was overpowered on his
12m I went out on the 11 instead.
Good choice, after getting out of the wind shadow and into the estuary it
was rocking! Went over to Borth side and played in the smooth water with AJ
and Dunk. Starting to get these forward rolls really nailed now. Came back
into the middle and played among the wind surfers - dozens of them - sun
had come out be now - glorious afternoon.
finally packed up 2ish. Wind was dropping but still a few out till gone
3.
Unexpected - and a cracking session top boot.
Tue, Wed, Thurs looking VERY promising too.... :)
